Controversial music executive Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi has stirred up a storm by suggesting that former Finance Minister Tito Mboweni was killed.

Mboweni passed away on Saturday night at a Johannesburg hospital. While the official cause of death has yet to be disclosed, President Cyril Ramaphosa’s office confirmed that he died after a brief illness. However, Nota Baloyi is questioning the lack of transparency regarding Mboweni’s passing, demanding that the cause of death be revealed to the public.

‘Who Killed Tito Mboweni?’: Nota Baloyi Demands Answers on Cause of Death

Instead of accepting tributes pouring in for the former minister, Baloyi took to social media to criticise the media for not investigating the circumstances of Mboweni’s death. He believes the focus should be on uncovering the truth about what happened.

“To hell with the tributes, who killed Tito Mboweni & why is the media so obsessed with the tribute olympics when they should be getting the facts… We have a body, what happened that should be priority #1. What was he being treated for? It’s been 3days now, we still don’t know!😡,” Nota Baloyi said.

Public Reaction: Conspiracy Theories Emerge

His post ignited a heated debate, with some agreeing that the public deserved to know the details, while others defended the family’s right to privacy, saying that not every public figure’s cause of death needs to be made public. Nota’s remarks also fueled conspiracy theories, as some speculated about possible foul play.
